Week 30: Sophie looking Cute
What a week it has been! Actually it has been busy work wise but in a good way. Being at one job all week helps because you know what you'll be doing. Of course Friday had to work late to help get a critical part done, but all in a day's work!
I did get an evaluation. Actually we were given a sheet to self evaluate and then our boss went over it line by line asking why we put what we did. Mine was, as always, quite detailed. After 52 years and reinventing myself 18 years ago, I think I know myself pretty well. And I remember my Dad saying he did not want to go salary and be a manager. Like Father, like Son. There is a reason, I will just say, that I enjoy working independently. That said, the evaluation, or review, went as expected. Very professional. A lot I could of said, but I am learning the art of quietness. The last review I got at the apartments was very political and peer driven. Glad to see all that behind me. But the evaluation was just more confirmation to the direction that God is taking me. It is exciting to see God working in my life. And, I will admit, it has helped my mood tremendously.
So this weekend decided to do some organizing in the studio (I do this every couple of months because things get cluttered and I hate clutter) and even the apartment. Just could not stop myself. But it did not stop me from making my weekly pancakes on Sunday! And Sophie, ever diligent, supervised:
This is the, are you going to share some of those pancakes with me look. I mean, look at that face!
And here is the Daddy is at the computer so I am going to take a nap:
It is hard to get these shots because when I pick up the camera she is like whatcha doin Dad?
Got this shot with my new lens just practicing:
Figured this was a more pleasing shot than the slug from last week. I believe my Mom's exact words were:
Ok....NO MORE SLUG PICTURES...do you notice all the caps???? Gross....
In fact snakes and worms were added to the list lol. So Okay Mom, no more slug pictures on the blog!
So I was taking a walk with Sophie yesterday and I ran into a hummingbird with just my phone camera. So.....
Small little bird but I vowed to go around it's place of living with my camera in the next week and see if I can get a better picture.
So next week I should be at the same job for the better part of the week. Which is good. Gives me lots of time to think, plan, and even study. I have been reviewing domain host sites. Now it is a matter if I want to go the Word Press website route or not. Pros and Cons. But Ginger will tell you I am quite meticulous in my research.
Speaking of research, I am looking at a new camera to save up for. The one I would really like is $3800, lots of fun money to save up for! But I am right now in the research phase. The website and studying are priority right now, but the camera is a good research distraction. I am like my father, I research things probably to an extreme, but that is a lot of money so I want to make sure I get the right piece of equipment! Anyway, more to come on all those fronts. When the website goes up I will still be blogging but it will be from the website and I will be moving away from Facebook. No worries, I will give everyone ample time to readjust where to go to when it happens. But lots of family and friends have been encouraging me to do the website so with your prayers, blessings, and encouragement, it is happening.
Hope everyone has a good week! About time for me to go sit on the couch, have Sophie crawl on my lap, and do some reading. Thank you to everyone for your prayers, love and support!
